SUGGESTED CUSTOM ENGINEERING PROCESS

Experience shows that there are three broad categories of solutions for our customer’s requests:

COTS

Commercial-off-the-shelf motors are currently in production and are offered with a select set of options which include KV (RPMs per volt) and some mechanical options such as shaft and case mattters.  COTS motors usually have the shortest delivery times.

MOTS

When a customer needs to tailor a solution with more changes that a COTS product supports, NeuMotors can offer MOTS (“modified-off-the-shelf”) solutions. MOTS motors can include custom windings, shaft options and fee-based design support from our engineers.

FC

When a completely unique motor is required, a FC (“fully-custom”) solution can be offered. FC drive solutions are application specific and can be adjusted to the customers requirements. We find that the best work flow is to start with a COTS or MOTS solution and progress to a FC solution as information is gathered and requirements become better understood.
